First Aid Training Session for Students

As part of Red
Cross Day celebrations at The British School, Panchkula, A First Aid Training Session
was organized by the Panchkula District Red Cross Society.
Ms. Neelam Kaushik Life term member of Red
Cross Society and an able trainer and Mr Ramesh Chaudhary, District Training
Officer , conducted an interactive session with the students giving them life
saving tips on timely first aid .The trainers explained and demonstrated the
ABCD of First Aid with acronyms: A for Airways, B for breathing , C for
circulation and D for deadly bleeding! The children learnt about checking the
breathing of an injured person, stopping external bleeding, symptoms of
internal bleeding, CPR –Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation and other First Aid
steps to be taken in case of need. The students were also made aware of other
functions of Red Cross Society. The school Director, Ms Geetika Sethi
appreciated the effort made by the visiting trainers and urged the students to
observe all safety rules and observe and remember all that was demonstrated
during the session.
