A Coffee Table Book – JIND Flowing Waters, Forgotten History

<p style="text-align: justify; "><span style="font-weight: bold;">Chandigarh:</span> Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday released coffee table book ‘Jind-Flowing Waters, Forgotten History’ compiled by IAS couple Gauri Prashar Joshi and Ajit Balaji Joshi. A MobileApp of the book is also released on this occasion.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Releasing the book, the Governor appreciated the initiatives of Gauri Prashar Joshi and Ajit Balaji Joshi for promoting the cultural heritage through their book.  He said that Haryana Government is making sincere efforts in promoting and preserving the culture of the State.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">CM Manohar Lal said that Jind has its own historical and religious importance and such effort needs to be supplemented. He wished all success to the writers. Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu also spoke on this occasion.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Authors of the book highlighted various historical facts about Jind compiled in the book. ‘Jind- Flowing Waters, Forgotten History’ is an attempt to bring together facets that could be said to make up the culture of Jind. The process of integrating these facets brings to the fore the fact that history and legend, fact and fiction criss-cross frequently, if not always, in the evolution of a culture, they said.   </p>
